Cause:Some portion of the file in the region to be trimmed is currently in use by a database object
Action:Drop or move segments containing extents in this region prior to resizing the file, or choose a resize value such that only free space is in the trimmed.

way to shrink temporary tablespace ??

We have OARCLE 9ir2 on Redhat LINUX server. database temporary tablespace grow up to 10GB. I tried to sxhrink it and have error message alter database tempfile '/u/oradata/DECDB/temp01DECDB.dbf '

Oracle 9R2 Tablepsace LMT / extent uniform size Hi gurus! after loading my table with an ETL my my_big_table took 22Go. after a "alter table big_table move " -- > move in the same tablespace
